Whats the big deal. When Nascar2 came out I had to sift through thousands of messages from Redneck-BillyBob-Hillbillys
expounding on how great a sim it is, when Nascar is a just drivin around in circles around the Walmart parking lot sport.
I didn't mind and I went and bought the game.

I thought we all agreed on GPL being sim, not a game :-)

Excuse me but whats the name of this newsgroup rec.autos.simulators? well I
guess you would call that a GPL newsgroup, this is for all racing sims, but
not arcade racing games like NFS3 .

Unfortunately that newsgroup is used as a social yaking post (nothing wrong
with that if done in moderation) by about 5-6 regulars who each post dozens
of messages a day totally unrelated to GPL and answer their own posts with
multiple messages.

I too was e***d initially by that newsgroup and promoted it to others but
now I am having second thoughts.

Nafi is correct! Yesterday 2 guys posted over 125 messages --WOW! I made
the "mistake" of posting my sentiments about the "yacking" and got flamed
(only lightly as I am somewhat of a "dimwit" <g>). I was also informed it
was a "private server" -- so for now, for me it's RAS !!
