How many times have YOU repeated your best time? If you never have, does
THAT time deserve to be on GPLRank?

Hehe.
Joakim, who is very new to GPL, and haven't even got a GPLRank yet...
Doesn't almost everyone have a time ot two that they can't beat anymore? I
know *I* do. That's the definition of 'personal best'...

Never argue with an idiot. He brings you down to his level, then beats you
with experience...

It's typical for most of us to plateau in our progress for long periods. It
seems like you'll never get any better, then one day all that work pays off and
you break through to a new level of speed. It will happen. Racing REALLY helps
the motivation, try to get involved with an online league.
You got that right Murray ;-) And I promise you, when you've put in enough time
at the Ring that you can drive it in your head it will become you favorite
track. There's no secret to it, just put in the laps. You'll progess faster
there if you don't push it, just drive slow and stay on the road until you
know it by heart.

As per my original post to your original post, I lost 3 PB's when my
system crashed while I tried to save the replays. I was able to better
two of them, but not the third...in fact, I can't get within 1 second
it. (I don't try to save my PB replays anymore.) I was on a roll this
past weekend, driving GPL 6 to 8 hours a day doing the Monsters thing.
It paid off big when I finally drove a hot car like the Eagle. (I
started off with the BRM, then Honda, then Cooper, but I stayed away
from the Lotus, which is what I had most of my PB's with.)
Now most of my PB's are with the Eagle, even at Monaco and The Ring,
which I thought were 2 tracks that the Eagle sucked at! The bottom line
is keep driving. If you're not making any progress at one track, switch
cars. If that doesn't help, switch tracks. If you follow Maxx's advice,
you should get under Papy's time at Watkins Glen real soon. Silverstone
is a the same way, not only will you get under Papy, but if you're real
smooth, you can beat 1:30! Ease in, a good line, and fast out equals a
good lap time. That helps at Spa too, by the way...easier said than
done! Just keep driving and your GPL handicap will drop!(As long as you
listen to Maxx.) Listen to Maxx! I gotta go.
