A nice day :-)

<self-indulgent mode>

What a day today...

1) Cloudless skies all day and 80 degrees;
2) The first interesting Cup Final in years (what a striker Michael
Owen is);
3) The hilarious rhyming presenters for the Eurovision Song Contest
(winners: Estonia)...

...and...

...4) Sub 2 minutes at Rouen in the Ferrari :-D *FINALLY!*

OK, so it's pretty small beer (someone did a 56 in a Cooper there in a
race I was in last night), but who cares?

Why? you don't like Arsenal do you? they are a bunch of arrogant ***s with
***fans, 'eveybody' in England hates them, when they beat us (Newcastle)
in 1998 while they picked up the trophy all you could hear on was the Toon
fans singing:

We are the Geordies,
the Geordie boot boys,
and we are mental and we are mad,
we are the loyalest football supporters,
the world.... has ever... had

While Liverpool picked up the trophy the arsenal (fans?) were heading for
their cars.

No. You're on your own here.

Oh dear I seem to have missed it. Again.

Show off! My best is 2:00.38, in the Lotus. I hadn't noticed those three
(and a bit) tenths, they'll have to go, Monaco can go on hold for a while...

Do I detect a note of sour grapes from the North, an area permanently
deprived of a proper team? :-)

Cheers!

(It owuld have been better if Bromley had won it, but we got knocked out in the
second qualifying round by... the Met Police!)

I think we deserve a bit of sour grapes ;-) you can't deny Newcastle are a
massive club at least top 6 in the country if not top 3 but we haven't won
anything since 1969 (UEFA cup) and nothing domestically since 1955 (FA cup
our last of 6) and no title since 1927 (last of 4). Name me another club in
the big 10 that hasn't won anything in the last decade let alone the last 3.
Yet we can fill our 52000 stadium with season ticket holders and still have
a waiting list even after 3 seasons finishing in the bottom half with a ***
team :(

Anyway I hate arsenal don't you? I thought everyone did northern or not ;)
