Grand Prix Three will be released in 12 weeks time, starting Monday. I will
update my prediction every week. I'm confident I will be right, but I'm not
afraid of getting egg on my face.

I don't have any kind of inside info, it's just a feeling. The human mind is
very powerful, especially mine :) and no scientist has ever been able to fully
understand it. We only use 10% of our brains (apparently) and I've been racing
sims for 4 years now and I belive the other 90% of my brain is completely
engaged in Motoracing. So there you have it. Expect GP2 in 12 weeks, or 3
months.

That would be September, but exatly 12 weeks. 12 weeks.

No way! But if you are right I'll let you pass me while in the lead in
Monaco in an online race with 20 other real drivers enjoying a 78 lap race
without warping!

I think that's before the estimated release date, and manufacturers
seldom make those.
In fact, you could probably count the games that made estimated
release (and didn't need 5 patches just to get running) on one hand.

Of course, the producer/publisher had the good sense to keep their
traps shut about when GP3 is coming out, so there isn't any info on
how close it really is to completion...

I say it'll be out by Christmas, *perhaps* by Thanksgiving...
Hitting that Christmas market is the real target.

If you keep updating it, it isn't a prediction, is it?

I mean, I'll remind everyone of my prediction. Next week it'll be 13 weeks
until GP3 is released.

I am right, oh yes... I shall be correct!

you know, that whole "10% of our brains" thing is a complete myth. just
thought you'd like to know.

for this, and other reasons, i think you'll turn out to be wrong about GP3.

[snip]

I don't buy that for a second!

Do you honestly believe that we, as humans, use our brains to the full
capacity?

It sure will be a disapointment to many if it turns out to be true!

Excelsior; Well it appears Mark Stahl believes so & with
nothing to back it. It is amazing to me that I read all these
factual words of wisdom on almost every ng with no facts
to back it. Of course many do but most do not! {imho}
Cheers All.. Thom_j.

That's right - you need only spend 10 minutes on Usenet to confirm
that many people use only 5%.... :-)

thom j. is welcome to express his (very) humble opinion, but i did mention
that i'm a grad student in neuropathology and could be expected to know
something as elementary as that. it's not really the kind of thing you "have
an opinion" on; many studies have verified it as a fact. i don't think it's
appropriate to get into why in this ng- although you seemed to want some
facts to back up what i said.
do a medline search on "electroencephalography" for a start. that urban
legends page is pretty interesting and entertaining, too- and appropriate
for soemone who only wants to use 10% of his brain :P

sheesh. nothing to back it, my ass....

well, back to sim racing.....
