I am thinking of purchasing the yoke as mentioned to use with F1GP,
Indycar, Nascar, Need for Speed etc. I could then buy at a later date
the pedals to go with it.

Is anybody using one at the moment? If so how does it perform? Can
the braking, accelerating and changing gears all be done by buttons,
as a I just borrowed a Logic Freewheel where you have to tip the wheel
forward to accelerate and bakwards to brake. This arrangement is
crap! Especially when you are trying to concentrate on steering.

Also does anybody know any shops in the UK where I could try the above?

Hi Mark.  I've got a VPP as well as the CH pedals. Since this is the only setup I have
used for racing, my opinion may be a bit bias. I think, however, that it's a great setup
for the price($65.00 for VPP and $40.00 for pedals). Yes, you can shift, gas and brake
with the steering wheel buttons.  The inward and outward movement of the wheel does
not affect anything. As far as where to get them, unless you decide to stop in Minnesota
soon, I guess I can't help ya there. If you find some, though, I'd give 'em a try.

I use the VPP for World Circuit, NASCAR, Flight Sim 5.1, and Flight
Unlimited. You will double your fun with this product. Yes, you can shift
precisely with the buttons when racing, and they allow you to access more
***pit features faster when flying. The wheel itself has an "actual" size
and control feel that pilots and drivers will love.
The setup can be tricky, with a file to be downloaded and unzipped from
CH's Web Site. But it's worth it! E-Mail for help, if you need it!

I used the VPP too for a few weeks, until I found the Thrustmaster T2
(wheel and pedal combo) at Circuit City for $99!!  What a hell of a deal!  I
think they bought a ton of them to sell them this cheap.  Definitely makes a
big difference.

      Yeah, you're right !
I use the VPP with pedals too, but now its Thrustmaster T2 time!
I buy it for about 239 German Marks (sure, I am a german) :-)
Its cool to drive whit the T2, I love it.
Cant wait for Virtual Karts and F1GP 2 !!
Btw, Indycar 2.0 will help me to wait a lot hehe...

                  Have a nice day
              Greetings from Germany
