Whenever I run a race with a downloaded car, the in-car and no-cockpit
views have the worst stuttering sound I've ever heard.  The cars that
came with the game work just fine.  What could be the problem?!?

Specs:

P233 w/128MB RAM
6X CD ROM
DirectX 7.0A
Diamond Sonic Impact S90 w/latest ref drivers
Diamond Monster Fusion Banshee w/latest ref drivers

Any thoughts, advice, etc. would be appreciated.
