Dear IndyCar Racing Customers:
The two-player feature of IndyCar Racing doesn't work very well. We
were alerted to this problem in November, shortly after the game first
shipped. Since that time, we have been working furiously on a solution.
At first, we expected to be able to fix it quickly. But despite the
concentrated efforts of our crack IndyCar Racing team, the "quick fix"
turned into a marathon event.
Many of you are justifiable upset with us. We hear your protests
through customer support calls, on our bulletin board and on the online
services. I apologize for the delay and the disappointment we have
caused you.
I wish I could announce a firm date you all could count on for receiving
the elusive "modem patch." However, I am not going to repeat the
mistake of making a promise that might be broken. Instead, I ask you to
believe in the dedication and talent of David Kaemmer, Celso Minnitti,
John Wheeler, Jane Sieczkiewicz, Fred Butters, Jill Mironer, Tom Nevils
and the rest of the Papyrus team. The modem patch is our whole
company's top priority and will remain so until it ships.
Sincerely,
Omar H. Khudari
President, Papyrus Publishing, Inc.
