Help - where to get a clutch pedals for momo

by pcfrea » Mon, 13 Jan 2003 09:00:08

Hello,  I want to get a clutch pedal set and a shifter for my Momo wheel.
It is the first generation of Momo wheels.  I was thinking about getting the
act labs 6 speed shifter and there pedal set.  Any input of the quailty or
should I spend a little more to get a better product ?  I am in Edmonton,
if anyone around here has a clutch set and shifter for sale let me know.
Thanks for the input.  PS.  Does the Momo support the Act labs gear ?

I hear lots of complaints about the quality off the Act Labs pedals. I'm
thinking about getting these:

They are quite expensive, but I don't think they will break easily! (Or is
it brake?)
The Act Labs USB shifter is also on my list, I don't think there is a good
alternative to their shifter.
As to compatibility, these things are plugged in as separate controllers
(USB). So the game/sim has to support 3 controllers. I think most serious
sim's do, but a more "gameish" title might not support more than one. There
is a possibility to connect the gas and brake of the BRD7, Act Labs or other
"separate controller pedals" directly to the momo wheel and make it one
controller. Take a look at my pedal adapter for the momo:

Even if you don't want to connect your new pedals to the wheel, the adapter
would let you connect the power directly to the wheel, so you don't need to
have the momo pedals connected.

Act labs performance pedals are independent of the wheel and can be used
with any wheel. After several wheels and pedals I love the act labs
performance pedals. although I don't use the clutch much.
