My main worry is that SCGT has no real online multiplayer to speak of, so
while I will most likely get this game to support more sim developement of
NON-Nascar based sims, short track stock car racing in particular, I don't
think this is going to rank even on the level of DTR. Speaking of which, if
you did want to license an engine. Why wouldn't you go for the DTRSC engine
or the HEAT engine. Either of these would have been better choices,
mutliplayer problems aside. I mean at least those games have decent online
support, a little tweaking and tey each could be brought to the level of the
Papy games.

As for the DTR engine, I would say that the meager licensing fees
weren't attractive enough to entice Ratbag into creating their own
competition in a market that they currently already own (i.e., short
track oval racing).

Same here. Thats why I have went back to N3 over nr2002. Gotta love all
those short tracks for N3/NL/CTS.
