Fiannly, we can have a little bit more info about this game (including
screenshot). Make a detour to www.infogrames.com (go to the US site and
then racing games). You can even see in car shoots.

I'm looking forward to this game.  Hopefully, it's multiplayer will be
good, and it comes with a good damage model, yellows, etc.  I'll take a
short track over the tracks in N2002 anyday.

Since it is based on the licensed SCGT technology, the multiplayer will be
ABYSMAL at best.    Granted some companies have taken a licensed product and
improved it...(i.e. Valve and it's Quake <2 or 3?> engine) but the mission
statement of the producers seems to promise doing more with less so I really
don't thing too much will be done to that code-base.
Still, I'd love to eat those words..

Hmmm.....didn't realize that Dave(I don't read much pre-release hype), but
if so, you're right :(  On the other hand, maybe the greater prevalence of
broadband vs. when SCGT was released will help ?

I do think they are changing at least the online part of the SCGT code for
two reasons

1) SCGT only supported 6 or 8 cars. USAR has been saying 16 cars online.

2) This was taken from a press release about a Hoooters Pro Cup car that
they are sponsoring.

"OnlineRacin.com is the top site on the internet for multiplayer *** and
supports a variety of racing sims. With nearly 10,000 members in all 48
contiguous states, as well as Canada, OLR supports the three most recent
NASCAR titles by Sierra/Papyrus including NASCAR Racing 4 and NASCAR Racing
2002 Season, three Ratbag racing sims (Dirt Track Racing, Dirt Track Racing:
Sprint Cars, and Leadfoot), as well as Infogrames NASCAR Heat. OLR hopes to
add USAR Hooters Pro Cup Racing by Infogrames to its lineup of platforms
when the game is released later this month."
