MGPRS2 Patch v1.06

I downloaded patch v1.06 for MGPRS2. I still have the problem with it
lowering my wave volume settings in windows 98. I had the same problem with
patch v1.05, but v1.04 works fine.
I have a SBLive.
Does any know how to fix this? Does any one else have this problem?

There is only one thing you can do.  Hit your "windows" key, return to your
"desktop", and then you must find where you sound mixer is located (which is
easy to do with SB Live) and manually reset the "Wave" volume level to high.
Then go back to MGPRS2.  The sound will be great--until the next time you load
the game.  You will have to repeat this whole process again.  And again.  And
again.
