Considering it's from Hasbro, I wouldn't expect much in the way of a
simulation. Disappointing E3 reviews too; people apparently were saying it
should be 2.5.

Bye-bye, Hasbro.

Andrew

PS Hasbro had lethally bad problems with Gunship!, which they seem to have
abandoned after its release, and killed plans for Platoon! which was a tank
simulation supposed to link up with Gunship!. Pissed of many, many flight
combat simmers. They had the best looking terrain, too.

Geez, and I keep crashing when exiting Nerf Arenablast. Never will there be a
fix.

Perhaps the game includes a facility to allow you cheat using traction
control hoping that you will not be caught....

....this game is just getting more advanced al the time.....hehe:-)

It must be early in the race.  Things will change come the pit stops.  Or
rain.  :-)

It's not by Hasbro, it's by Geoff Crammond, Symerg and Microprose.  Hasbro
are the publisher.  Different thing completely.

Got it, thanks. IE somehow failed the update the page when I first loaded it
(didn't notice wrong date on newsheading... DOH!!).

Not to worry, the picture is obviously a fake... perspective doesn't work.
It's a shot of Mika in a turn superimposed on one of a grid. -Phew! -Imagine
that... Hakkinen actually leading from the start of a GP! ;-))

Not to worry, what you are seeing is a picture of Hakkinen about to go a lap
down.

GP3 is based on the 1998 season which I believe Hakkinen became World
Champion :)

No, not really.

Gunship! is a Microprose product; Hasbro killed it. Falcon 4 (a widely
heralded combat flight sim, in case you're not familiar with it) is a
Microprose product; Hasbro killed it. Both programs showed huge potential and
were never allowed to "stretch their legs".

Don't think that just because talented individuals are on a project they have
complete control, or even a large amount of control over the fate of the
product. The fact is that the publisher decides the level of support a
product will recieve, and if Hasbro follows their own footsteps, they will
release a sub-par product (as already seems to be the case based on E3
coverage) and move on to the next one.

It wouldn't matter if Albert Einstein writes the physics code. It comes down
to profit. I'm sure you think I'm wrong; I hope I am but I'm not holding my
breath. Let's see what happens.

Regards.

At least Geoff is in the UK, as is Wayward that will produce B-17 II, so
we can hope that the physical distance will in these two cases take away
some Hasbro influence :).
