Are you upgrading from a Voodoo2, or is this a 'clean' install of the
Voodoo3?

I am assuming it is your Windows version of N99 crashing which was the same
problem I had.  By installing the following command lines in a .bat file
(the same line that fixes the GPL texture problem) it finally worked.

The lines are:        SET FX_GLIDE_TMU_MEMSIZE=8
                              nr19993d.exe -3dfx

Hope this helps.

NR1999 runs just fine for me on the Voodoo3 (the one I have is a
developer board, though I've flashed it with the retail bios and I'm
also using the retail drivers).  Which EXE are you using, or does it
make a difference?
