I was actually told once not to go online with GPL until I was much better
than I currently was. I won't say who because in all honesty I do feel he
was trying to warn/help me more than anything, but to someone not familiar
with him his post would have most definitely come off as a 'go away little
boy' type of thing.

That's a shame, and I hope it was an isolated incident. As far as I'm
concerned, I'd welcome anyone to VROC, provided they're not actually a
danger to others. At Monza, say, a consistent 1:40 driver is a lot
better than someone who does occasional 1:26s but takes everyone else
out.
