Once you apply the 3dfx patch to Nascar 2, what you get is a different
executable-- NAS3DFX.EXE.  So all you have to do to run the non-3dfx
accelerated version is to run the normal N2 executable.

So in essence I could run the 3dfx version and play it, then exit the game
and go to the regular version.

It is that simple.  Seeing that you did not realize this, are you sure
that you weren't just running the normal executable, thinking that it was
the 3dfx version?  That could explain why you possibly didn't like the 3dfx
version.
