I was just thinking if is it possible to develop a patch that will make
possible to play ICR2/CART on line on the Net, just like GPL or Nascar 2.

I really dream with this day, since ICR2 is still the best sim racing game
at the moment that simulates Indy cars like they are today.

Does anyone wanna concentrate effort in this task? Let me know!!!

Several folks have asked about that...If anyone can
create a Net hack for icr2 he'd probably be crowned
King for a Day.
Don't hold your breath tho...what you can do
is email Sierra and Papyrus constantly about the
"NEED"
for an updated CART sim with online multiplay..
(although after running the free nros demo, you
might be less than pleased with how well other
humans treat those exposed wheels..:) )

The major problem with the old CART/ICR2 (NASCAR 1?) engine is that there is
NO support for a LAN. It only supports null-modem or modem connections - no
IPX/SPX (which would allow us to use Kali or Kahn) or TCP/IP (which would
let us set up a VROC-style thing for ICR2). I just hope someone can make
at least an IPX/SPX hack - I wanna play ICR2 over my network!!! :P
