NFS:PU has a new version out, 3.4. Does anyone know what it has over version
3.3?  My no-cd version is 3.3 and I'd like to keep using it, but I don't
want to miss out on any good stuff.

Maybe I should explain that I have the game on cd. However, I hate putting
in a different cd everytime I switch games. Plus, the no-cd version kills
the annoying intro screens and cd music.

Don't say you have a no-cd version here, some bigoted crazy guy is going to
flame you for that....

Sorry but don't know either about the changes from 3.3 to 3.4, no readme
with the patch ?

The no-CD thing is a 3rd-party PATCH -- I have the FULL RETAIL VERSION
and I was using the no-CD patch with version 3.3, just to save on wear-
and-tear for my valued RETAIL CD (which is in its jewel case on my desk
right now).

The 3.4 patch does diable the no-CD patch, though, so now I have to re-
insert the CD when I want to play NFSPU.

I've been kicked out of the game to the desktop several times while
playing in evolution mode since installing the 3.4 patch, but every
time, I've been able to re-enter evolution mode with my existing player
at the same point where I was kicked to the desktop with NO corruptions
to my player file, so my guess is that the 3.4 patch provides some
protection against the previous corruptions, at the expense of an
occasional ungraceful exit to the desktop.  I'd rather be booted to the
desktop than have to worry about corrupted player profiles, so I view
this as an improvement of sorts.

Dunno what else the 3.4 patch does, though.

Well you know here they shoot first and ask questions after....

Besides that and back to the important issue....

Doesn't 3.4 do something about internet play ?

To be honest I don't know what 3.3 does better than 3.0 which I have....we
should bug EA to have them release 3.5 with ACT LABS Shifetr support....THAT
would be an improvement.

Where do you DL the updates because on the EA site nothing exists, they
don't have ANY patch for NFS5....but they don't know either about the FF bug
in F1 2000...

The only thing I see different is an * by some cars when playing online, I
assume meaning modified. When you go to internet play within the game it
checks for updates.
