Working Over TCP/IP Internet For N2?

by Mark » Sun, 15 Dec 1996 04:00:00

Hi everyone,
I was woundering if it would be possible to hook up to a TCP/IP internet
connection, because I tried it to test and it started to work, but I
dicided not to continue. Any answers would greatly apressiated.
                Sincerly,
                Mark

P.S. NASCAR 2 Rocks!!!!!

It's possible if you get the program Kali.  Kali fools the game into
thinking a TCP/IP connection is actually an IPX network connection.
You can play over the Internet, but latencies can be a bit of a
problem.

It *might* be possible to use your Windows95 DUN (dial up networking),
setting it up to use ipx/spx and tcp/ip, route thru your ISP to a site
that supports ipx/spx and perhaps it would work.  I think this is what
KALI does.  however, the lag time (latency) would be horrid.

However, this does open up the door in the larger cities for a dial-up
Nascar2 server that supports 8 drivers.  possible money maker for some
businesses on the weekend?
