F1RS menu options disabled. WHY?

by Simon 'Shark' Gyme » Tue, 08 Sep 1998 04:00:00

I have F1RS with the 1.09 patch installed (although patched or unpatched
makes no difference)

After selecting the Expert mode in Realistic mode when I go to the options
for false start, 12 lap qualifying etc, to change them to Yes they are all
disabled and set to no.

Um...this means that in the most realistic mode available you cant have the
most realistic options turned on. Anyone know any solutions or option
hacking editors that could rectify this. Setting the cars to be Rookie (or
whatever the lowest setting is) enables these menu options but the CPU cars
are then far too slow.

The thing I want it most for is to turn the auto-guide into pits on, as I
can't steer and move forward (with the joystick) and press the keyboard keys
for selecting tyres and fuel at the same time. I have to stop in the pits
and then choose. This slows the pit stop and enables my competitors to pass
me (bastards, soon punt them off again).

You just need to change the option on the far left to `custom' then you can
change them as you want.
