F1RS- Menu Speed

Does anyone know how to speed up the menus? I just spent an hour playing
the game and a good 30 minutes was spent moving around the menus. This
is going to kill this game for me. Going from track to garage is
agonizingly slow. And while in the garage it takes forever. This makes
it really hard to work on setups.
Does anyone know how I can reach Ubisoft and tell them I would like them
to try to speed up the menus?
Otherwise I love this game, even on my old P-83 overdrive, with a Pure
3d card.

What size install have you done? During installation, it says that if you
use the smallest installation, the menus aren't copied to the hard drive but
left on the cdrom. Hence, if this is the case, you can bet that switching
between the menus will be quite slow. On my machine with the largest install
you just click on a button and the next menu appear automatically (except
when the track has to be loaded, for example).

Hope this helps,

Dennis

Install CD QUICK (cdq95v30.zip), a CD-ROM cache utility for W95! This
will solve your problems. The cache can either be located in RAM (up to
16MB), or as a kind of "swapfile" on your harddisk (standard 32MB).

I'm using an 8MB cache (in RAM), and it decreases load times considerably
on my old 280ms 4-spin drive.
