DTR a Masterpiece?

DTR a Masterpiece?

Hmmm. this demo is looking mighty good.  With full simulation turned on
and AI at 50% I cannot keep up with the dirtbags.  This sim is really
fun, graphics are some of the best I have seen.  Maybe not a
Masterpiece, but then again we have yet to see the sprints.  USAC and
Outlaw sprints on dirt. We may see a Masterpiece out of these guys yet.

I had high hopes for this Demo and all I can say is that it's everything
I hoped it would be.  The gameplay is so good you almost forget
about the crappy sound <G>.

It's a blast!  It downloaded quickly from simracingnews.com and
installed and ran flawlessly.  This is gonna be the best $20. I've
spent in a long time!

Those late models are TOUGH!

Am I the only person who thinks they didn't do that bad of a job with the
sounds?  BTW...I love the demo, best finish is 6th place at 34 Speedway on a
full wet track in a Late Model

BTW....I forgot to say that's 100% AI and 100% realistic handling I used on my
6th placer.

It's a total blast online. beat's Nascar BIG time in the online fun
factor. Even saw someone with a 900 ping and he didn't even warp and
that's with 10 people on the track. Great online code.

Things you CAN'T say about DTR:

- Alan was only faster than me because of all the warping.

- Alan only beat me because it was so laggy.

- Alan finished ahead of me because he was using better setups.

[NOTE:  Alan only has the demo, and you can't tweak the car setup in
the demo -- but you CAN in the game, and it helps, otherwise I wouldn't
have been able to keep up with Alan! <G> - JB]

Had fun racing you and the others tonight. I didn't know you posted here at
r.a.s.

The online code is definitely excellent. I saw no warping at all in any of
the races.

When did I miss you David, or did we race against each other ? I did some
quite long racing on the main server last night, which became my server a
little later.

That was BIG fun last night JB!!!   I was there - handle FERKEL.  Good clean
(mostly) racin at the WWorksDEMO server.  Some other groups were a bit rough
but ya take what ya can get when ya GOTTA RACE!  Hope to see y'all again
tonight if there's another chickflic on to keep my wife occupied.... she's
already wanting to race online but I told her she has to get some more laps in
OFFline first.  She ran a "Lightning" at easy settings and was so e***d her
leg was shaking by the end of the race.  GREAT JOB Ratbag!!!  Can't wait for
the Sprint version.

I was there from about 11:30 pm to 1:30 am.  I didn't see your name on any
of the servers though.
