MP3's of Racing cars from "Into the Red"

by Some Call Me Ti » Sun, 11 Feb 2001 05:09:45

I've now posted the MP3's recorded from Nick Mason's (of Pink Floyd) book
"Into the Red" on alt.binaries.simulators.autos.

Most tracks include starting up, a drive past and in car, and there are two
full laps of the mighty V16 BRM lapping Donnigton.

The cars are as follows

Alfa Romeo 8C 2300
Ferrari Daytona
Ferrari 512BBLM
Ferrari 250 GTO
Ferrari 512S
Ferrari 312T3
ERA B Type
Tyrell 011
Jaguar D Type
Panhard B1
Bugatti T35B
Maserati 250F
Lotus 18
Porsche 935 K3
Porsche 962
BRM V16 Mk2

The BRM is a must have. Certainly the loudest  and best sounding car ever
made. It sends a shiver up the spine as it flies past the pits.

Turn up the volume and enjoy

The Alfa, Porshe 935 and 962 also didn't propagate properly. Incomplete on
both supernews and remarq.

You're getting swamped out by those Mitchel on Demand idiots (what does that
program do anyway?), would you mind trying alt.binaries.sounds.samples or
somesuch?

Jan.

Ferrari 365GTB#4 Daytona.MP3
Ferrari 512 BBLM.MP3
Ferrari 512S.MP3
Panhard B1.MP3

I'm using Newsshark, by the way.

Just checked at Amazon the US version is called "At the Limit"
The Big bad drawback is that THERE IS NO CD!!!! for $38 that is a rip
off.
Oh well at least we get the mp3's for consolation,
BTWY: the book book says 21 cars that shaped motor sport, how many
are on the cd?

I second what Jan has said, neither of those where complete on
Giganews either, which is a paid newserver.

Also on giganews is 1 part of 2 for a LOLA T297 which was not
on your list. Can you repost this also.

Thanks

Hi Guys,

I've just re-posted the BRM V16 again (the one that really worth listen to)
It seems odd that some parts on some news servers and not on others. I'll
re-post the others that you haven't been able to download but I think this
time I'll make the minimum file size smaller. I' also try posting on
alt.binaries.sounds or any other appropriate one I can think off.

I'm away till Thursday so I won't be able to re-post until the end of the
week.

BTW the CD has 17 different cars but the book has 21.

I'd like to know too... methinks I should have heard of a piece of software
people are willing to attempt to download 13 CD-images off the net for, but
this one throws a complete blank.

Ah well, time to get off my lazy ass, I guess. Google.com, here I come.

Jan./If I get a complete set I'll repost'm anywhere you like.
