Per4mer Wheel good or bad?

Hi everyone!

So, I've heard it's good and also I've heard it's CRAP.  So which is it?  is
the Per4mer wheel good or bad? :)

Some people told me it stops working after 2 months, some people say it's
pretty good for the money you pay...works pretty well.

Per4mer Price:$55.95
Bottom Line on Per4mer Turbo(from PCGamer, March '97):  The light weight
and tall profile of the per4mer Turbo keeps this low-priced wheel from
making the grade.  (Also, from the short article) With a little work
(paring down the size of the wheel and adding a heftier mounting system),
the Per4mer could be a contender on the computer driving circuit, but not
until then.

Personally, if you don't want to spend more the $100, I would get the
Thrustmaster T2 if you want something with pedals, or the Thrustmaster
Grand Prix 1 if you want everything on the wheel.

We had one on display/demo at the retail store I worked at
over Christmas.  I lasted only a couple of weeks.  Both throttle and
brake buttons crapped out and the senstivity was never great to
begin with.

Just bought one of these myself, seems ok so far and is damm cheep when
compaired to some others, I paid 34.99 Uk pounds . I was thinking of
building a wheel and peddles after reading wallys home page, and if
nothing else the Per4mer is  a good base for this project. Having opened
it up it looks reasonably simple to wire some peddles into.

Best Wishes Russ......
