N2003 Updates for 2005?

by Bria » Tue, 30 Nov 2004 02:52:46

Hey,
I've been away from sim racing for awhile (job, kids, etc.) but would
like to know if any 2005 carsets, track updates, or sound packs are in the
works for N2003 for the coming season?  Thanks, -Brian Mc

I've seen them working on the 2005 Dodge Charger Template(the Intrepid
replacement) so I think you can rest assured there will be 2005 cars.
Your first move might be to track down the 2004 track update, that changes
everything over to updated graphics and Nextel signage.  I believe
Blackhole Motorsports had a link to it.  THen you can concentrate on 2005
cars as they become available.

This is the website that is currently working on the updates, in fact
the final version for the 2004 update is complete. With updated graphics
and track surfaces (Dover looks killer) along with an AI update that is
so close to real.

They are some how connected or affiliated with Hendrick Motor Sports
If you have questions the forum there is full of answers

Sounds like a great thing and the price is right.

N2003 Updates for 2005?

I downloaded the update and it looks great.  I did try to join 2 on line
races and got a window saying that I couldn't because the graphics had
been altered.  I was kind of surprised to see that (not sure why anyone
would care), but the majority of servers let me in without a problem.

If you are trying to get on to an expansion track and do not have the
correct one in your folder you will get that message. find out which
track is loaded onto the server then load the same track into your track
folder.
There are so many variations of the same track you need to be sure you
have the same one.
as far as the 2004 update only updates the original track on the cd to
the 2004 standards.
Also on the http://www.superspeedway.net web site the original tracks
and some *.ini files are stored.
Did you see the Dover Track yet Russell
looks awsome

I got to race at Dover and with the updated graphics it did look very cool.

I thought the races I was trying to join were the standard ones (based
on their names,) but maybe they were variations.

N2003 Updates for 2005?

Anyone know if the update is available on CD rom? It's a 21 hour download on
dialup, and even if I wanted to tie my computer up that long, my phone lines
aren't very stable, and I doubt I could complete the download. I'd gladly pay a
few bucks to get it on a disc.

Thanks!  I also heard about the 2004 carset from the Racing Groove. Maybe my
eyes are bad but I couldn't find a link to a carset on their site, only the
individual cars.  Is it possible to download all the cars all at once or do
you have to do them individually?
Thx, -B

N2003 Updates for 2005?

by tarage.. » Fri, 01 Jul 2005 15:28:21

Does anyone know of a track mod for N2003 that has hills? I was
thinking, even though NASCAR stock cars aren't designed for hilly
tracks, it would be a blast to fly over some hills and get airborn,
like in NFS.
