installing GP2. But for some reason that first lap out of the pits felt like
a bit of a dissapointment. I still don't know why it was, that the game I
loved so much later on wasn't love at the very first sight.
And it's the same thing all over with GP3, but however after changing some
settings in the cards.txt file I feel I've made the game look better. I no
longer get to see those lores textures, and for some reason the blockiness
of the track and the grass seems less.
GP3 is getting to me, it's very similair to GP2, but the improved AI and the
wet weather effects are so damn good, just amazing. GC makes his games with
so much depth, that it seems that you start to appreciate them more the
longer you play.
I just had a little hot seat race with my housemate at Spa. The race started
out completely wet and slowly dried. I went on slicks a bit early just to
get that Senna feeling. It was great, going up Eau Rouge feeling
aquaplaining through my FF wheel.
Going flat out through Blanchimont the next lap after I had discovered the
line was nearly dry there. But having to be cautious at the start line again
because it was still quite slippery there.
The warez version is the final version, I see nothing that could be changed
from this.
Next friday I'll pick up my copy, with some shame that I will not have the
same eager feeling to drive back home. I wish I was more patience.
