I have raced a fair amount at Milwaukee (used to be sitting at the top of the
grandstands out of the fourth turn - many years ago while growing up there). I
find the easiest way for me is to let up going into turns one and three, and
apply throttle about 1/2 way out of the turn. Going into one, I try to let up
at the skid mark on the far right of the straightaway. Let it coast until the
baloon passes your 12 o'clock and apply throttle for the exit. Going into
three, I let up just passing the purple building on my right. There's a massive
skid mark at the white line about 1/2 way around the turn, and I apply throttle
here. I hit 170+ (really havn't looked) at the end of the straights, and
140-ish at the appex.
Hope this helps, Russ

Anyone out there have this problem? I have ICR2 running on a Pentium 75
Mhz using the t2 wheel and CH pedals. During practice or a race after a
few minutes the screen goes BLACK! It is restored by hitting the space
bar but you can imagine how disconcerting this is when overtaking a
slower car on a street circuit. I run the game out of DOS and all
screensavers are off. I have 8MB of RAM, a soundblaster 16 , and run
the game in hi-res. Not sure about the video card. Any help would be
appreciated.
It sounds like you have one of those energy-saving systems that blank
the screen after x minutes of no keyboard/mouse input. Check your
CMOS settings; you should be able to disable it from there. (Or
tap a key occasionally when driving)
Does your monitor have a power-saving mode? I've heard of this happening
on some monitors that support such a thing.
