Long Beach, Toronto, Australia. All other tracks need a manual for
teh very best speed (yes - you need a manual on all ovals - and
you need to shift every lap, in every turn)
And about the setups: Sometimes the default stuff is ok, sometimes
it totally sucks. The ACE setups generally don't have enough
wing on raod and city courses, and too much on ovals.
In most cases, teh FAST setup, if you turn the shocks harder, will
be a decent start on road courses. Throw in a manual that works
well, and you can get within 2-3 sec of the Internet Records.
On ovals, you need to get real busy in the garage. Basic rule of
thumb: keep the rear wing as low as you can possibly get them.
A great setup in Michgan for example runs around 3.15/3.05 wings
at 75degree weather. How do you keep that thing on the line?
That's the secret of knowing how to set up cars... and people
don't usually share those tips.

This not correct. For some courses (Long Beach for example) they are close
but on (say) New Hampshire I run at 170mph with ace and my best time is
182mph with a different setup.
