SCGT, Keeping a garage of different cars?

Hello,

Is it possible to keep several cars during a SCGT career?

Every time I've started a new GP class, I bought a new vehicle, but
the last (pre gp-class car) is the default car in the new circuit;
i.e, I'll have a GP2 and GP3 car, but the GP3 car is the "default" car
for new GP2 circuits/races.

The only way I've figured out how to get my best car into the next
racing-circuit is to sell the old one.

If anyone knows how to keep several cars at one time, and still run
the proper GTx car in the proper GTx circuit, please explain.

 Thanks,

-Teehole

I know you can't switch cars during a season, but I believe when you start a new
seaason you get to choose which of the cars in your 'garage' you wish to use.
You just select it on the garage screen (or whatever its called) so it shows up
in all the other dialogs (parts, tuning, etc) and start the season.  You are
then trapped in that car as long as you do the season.

Thanks for the info. I just tried it (with a post-season backup) and
it was easy to keep my old car, as long as I bought it before starting
a new career. Think I was trying to purchase -after- starting a new
season, and of course was stuck with the old car.

I have no idea why this was so confusing to do, but it just worked
fine about 2 minutes ago. Which makes me wonder, one must always start
a new season with a higher class GP car, or perhaps do a GPQ again?

Oh well, lost my car(s), but usually sell the old cars for some
power-mods anyway, so it doesn't matter.

The only thing that really bugs me about SCGT is that stupid, hidden,
pop-up garage/options menu. Why it just doesn't stay-put is beyond
me....

I have my Windows task bar set to pop up the same way so it seems perfectly
natural to me, though I don't understand what they are trying to prove in the
game by doing it.  On my monitor, at least I am saving some screen real estate.

:o)
