This seems to be an excellent program, that interacts seemlessly with the
game.
Last night I adjusted the damage WAY-UP,to try to get a sense of reality
into the game, but noticed that it is still very hard to get damaged...
Has anyone else expirimented with this...it may be just the limiting
factor of the game itself,as the add-on seems to work....but I still
can't even get close,to realistic damage ..
Anybody else??

It's the other way around. The lower the values the more likely you are to
retire due to damage. I think I used a value of 200 for opponents and 800
for me. It seems to work real well.

Why don't you try tunring it WAY-DOWN.

And to make it very unrealistic, set both values to 0...
I did that, started from back of the grid, drove like mad to the 1st curve
and knocked out 15 cars...

But can anyone recommend some good settings? Now I'm using something like
2000/4000. Hitting the wall directly at 80 kph is usually enough now, but
crashes are difficult to test...

Another post mentioned 1000 for walls and 2000 for cars. I set it to
these and it makes touching a wall much more fatal (ie. realistic).
I've spun backwards into a wall across the gravel and hit the wall
with a rear tyre. Tyre didn't fall off but the engine died. This is
probably a good side effect of higher sensitivity to impacts. Your car
may not break but unfortunately the driver didn't manage to depress
the clutch in time and keep the revs up whilst spinning out of
control!

That seems to be a problem. The damage editor is good, but the bits still
stay on the car - I wonder if it is possible to make an editor to make
wheels and wing break off the car more easily, rather than just the
engine going?

If you bang hard enough into something things still fall of your car. I
think it's quite realistic that once your front wheels come of or you
touch the wall with around 80kmh the car becomes undriveable and
unrepairable (at least I've never seen anybody changing the wishbones
during a race pitstop). So if the engine shuts down that was it...

If you don't like the added realism, don't change the values...

Happy racing
