Hi Jim,
Unfortunately you need (preferably) a 3dFX, a Rendition based card or some
other 3D accelerator which supports Direct3D. The 3dFX version is best,
with Rendition looking good also - both of these have native support from
F1. The other cards are supported via Direct3D, which I thought was okay
(running the D3D version on my 3dFX), but others have reported it as being
a bit ropy.
As an arcade racer this is lots of fun and looks tremendous, but as a sim
it is fairly pants. Look for a full write-up up in Sim News in a day or so.
