In a magazine I have just seen a screen shot of indycar working in a
windows95 dos session on the desktop.

Have tried many configurations with the windows95 preview program without
sucess.

Can anyone help?

Get rid of Windoze 9x...
It's a piece of crap.

Great - we've got one poster who thinks Win95 is crap, and one who notes
that it runs great in OS/2.

Anyone care to actually ANSWER the original poster's question?

Well, I've gotten it running in DOS mode under Win95.  The problem is
the DOS4GW likes to take control of the machine (or, at least a
full-screen dos session)....it is possible to set the machine up so it'll
run in a window, although I don't yet know how to do it.

Anybody who knows how to do it, please let us know...I'd like to run
NASCAR without having to drop to dos....

Gee...
With the great, super, fantastic, state-of-the-art Windoze 9x, I thought
setting this stuff up waz gunna be a piece of cake...
Old Billy Boy says 'Just load your software and go'. Ha...

Why doesn't the original poster call MicroSoft and complain ???
They seem to know everthing...

This is a beta-test after all, isn't it ?
And this is a newsgroup re:autos.simulators NOT comp.OS.

NASCAR graphics and sound features require a great amount of memory.
If you are running it in (under) windows 95 you would have to suffer some
lose of graphics and or game speed  from the reduced memory. I would want
the maximum amount of memory available to run the game and would reboot
the system in dos mode rather than run it in a window.
