MGPRS2 on a nVidia Riva TNT video card - any comments

Hello,

I intend to buy a new computer (PII 350 or 400) with an nVidia Riva TNT
2D/3D card (Diamond Viper V550 or Asus V3400). I noted this card doesn't
support the Glide drivers in contrast to the 3dFx Voodoo II card.
Currently I own a P166 with an 8MB Voodoo II card and must say the
performance of MGPRS2 doesn't disappoint me at all (except for the start -
that really is too much asked for a 166 pentium). Does anybody out here
have any experience with the nVidia chipset on a P350 (or higher) in
combination with MGPRS 2? Please share it with me!

I own a V550. If you get a Viper550, use the ref drivers from nvida, I can't
get F1RS2 to work with the drivers from diamond. GPL also doesn't work very
well. I would recommend using the voodoo2, instead of a TNT. Your going to
find that the TNT is a waste of money, I bought one, and I use my Voodoo2
('s) for every thing. By the way I have a PII 450.
