New Logitech/Momo wheel, Wow!

I just learned from another thread here that the Momo-wheel uses the gear-driven
guts from the newer GP-wheel. So I expect that even with ball bearings the wheel
still feels like stirring in a plastics-recyling bin :-(
With cable drive the wheel would be a steal IMO.

New Logitech/Momo wheel, Wow!

It's pretty confusing.  I just had a look on the US Thrustmaster site, they
have a wheel called the Nascar Pro Force Feedback with black pedals tops at
99.99, and another wheel called the Force Feedback Racing Wheel with light
grey pedal tops for $129.99.

The $129.99 wheel is the one I think you and me have got and the $99.99 one
is the new one.  Funnily enough the Nascar Pro FF doesn't have a Ferrari
badge, yet the new FF GT Racing Wheel does have a Ferrari badge.

Anyway, as far as I can tell, the FF GT Racing Wheel is the UK name for the
Nascar Pro FF.  I think it was at ECTS because it hasn't been released in
the UK yet.

I don't know how cut-down the Nascar Pro FF/FF GT is, but it doesn't mention
the 3lb motor in the specs, so it maybe less powerful, which might explain
the price difference.

analog paddles behind the hweel or my azz is grass! Grrrrrr :( Hell I'll

New Logitech/Momo wheel, Wow!

Simon,

FYI:

I use an LWFF with TSW pedals (not connected to each other) with more than just
GPL.  In F1RC, as you set up your controller(s) press slowly on the pedals and
you'll see various axes scroll by -- some of these will be for your separate
pedals.  Experiment a bit, and you should be able to use 2 separate controllers
with F1RC.  N4 is another that comes to mind, which can recognize multiple
controllers.  Sadly, I think that you're correct about SBK 2001 from what I
recall.. That's a strange one since the FF worked fine in SBK2000.  NFSPU is
another which can be configured to recognize 2 controllers.

Hope this helps....

Same thoughts here, allthough I will keep my CH pedals untill those
new BRD pedals will be released.
I read some good reports about the Momo wheel.. yes, unfortunately it
still uses gears instead of the older cable-driven wheels (which I
still use now) but according to the guy who tested it, it is was much
better than the crappy LWFF GP wheel, he hardly noticed the gears,
contrary to the GP wheel.
The pedals also seem to have improved btw - steel toppings and they
tilt a bit - no idea how it works but again according to the testguy
they worked much better than the original LWFF pedals.
