Well I checked and yes, it's there (system folder).
Martin
It goes in the Windows System folder....and the Sysbackup folder. Where
ever you are downloading the VIA 4in1 drivers from, you are getting an old
file (at least 3 months old), since this was a known problem and fixed long
ago....by VIA. When they originally released 4.28a and the final 4.29a
4in1's....it had a corrupted installer. It was fixed.....just a few days
after that....but many sites had already downloaded and posted the corrupted
one. Obviously, somebody has never corrected (replaced) theirs....and you
are downloading from them (?) (Sounds like something the "Guru3D" site would
do...I've downloaded one too many "corrupted files" from that site in the
last several months....no more, I've deleted them from my Favorites listing
now). If you have an MSI mobo, doesn't it have an AMD northbridge chip?
Why would you need the VIA 4in1's then?
Tom
PS: There are three "viagart" files, an ".inf" ......".vxd" .....and ".cat"
.......now, which goes where?
You still need the 4in1 drivers even if you have an AMD northbridge.
These motherboards still have a VIA southbridge.
