Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou for everyone's messages of support for my
motoracing 'endevers' (RE: Well, this is it then...) :o) It was an
extremely tough 3 days - I could really feel the pressure; I've honestly
never felt anything like it. On the whole it was a lot of fun, skidding
in Caterams, Merc's, Formula Firsts and lapping in race-prepared
Peugeots, Lotus's 49's ..er I mean Elise's :)) and of course the Formula
Ford's I race in the Goldline Bearings championship - see sig :) I was
quick, there's no doubt about it - everyone was - so there was a lot of
pressure put onto everyone to perform - to stand out, as only 6 drivers
were selected for the final in Le Mans - out of 28!
You may have noticed that I'm not exactly shouting and screaming about
it, so you may have guessed I wasn't one of the lucky six :( But I'm
certainly not too down-cast as I learnd alot of important lessons; the
standard of driving was better than anything I've come up against
before, and I was certainly not off the pace. I think the last 3 days
have allowed me to 'raise my game' and hopefully I can carry this
momentum into racing next year! That depends on the money situation, of
course but for now I must concentrate on next weekend - the final race
of my FFord Goldline Bearing Championship and I have a good feeling
about taking the win :o)
I won't give up; I'll succeed even if it kills me :))
