Run your Windows control panel "System" program, and see first if there
are any free IRQ's with a value of 9 or lower. If so, go to your modem
setting and see if you can change the winmodem IRQ to that value. If
that can't be done, you can use a COM port IRQ if you can disable that
unused COM port in your BIOS setup screens.
Finally, throw out the winmodem, like I said before -- ;)

I thought he blew it when he got that modem, but he accidentially
got the right one I guess. I can find out which Winmodem it is
if there is interest.
