Re-mapping GP2 keys?

Is it possible to remap the keys in GP2?  My notebook takes a beating on
the train each day :) and I worry about killing my "z" key over time, as
the tendency is to really slam that little brake key into my lap as I dive
down the inside.

Maybe a little downloadable utility?

There's no direct "hack" available for this (surprisingly)

However: there are some utilities out there to remap keys under Win9X,
and I have heard from a few people that this actually worked when
running GP2 under Win9X.
