GPL and TM Sprint wheel problem - help

by Ian Wrigh » Sat, 01 May 1999 04:00:00

I've got a bit of a GPL problem... every time I start the game, it seems
to have totally forgotten my wheel settings, so as soon as the intro
screen comes up, the joystick calibration page pops up, and I have to
calibrate the wheel, then assign all the buttons again.  Any ideas?

thanks in advance

GPL and TM Sprint wheel problem - help

by -~=Darek M= » Sat, 01 May 1999 04:00:00

I had the same problem with the Sprint. I havent fixed it the conventional
way though.
What I did was to install ProPanel off of the TM installation CD and in the
Windows
Game Controller settings I added the Sprint as the TM NASCAR Pro w/ seperate
pedals.
Now it doesnt ask me to callibrate every time and the key assignments stay
the same.
Hope that helps you.

One final note though... whenever I go to play SCGT with this setup the
wheel is turned all
the way to the left, rendering playing impossible. So to play I have to
change the wheel
back to the Sprint. But if all you play is GPL than the Pro option is a good
idea.

You need the most recent drivers from Thrustmaster so Windows can
remember your calibration.
