National Rankings for Race Series - VOTE

Watching this last season's IndyCar series I noticed they introduced a
competition by nationality.  Basically, they just kept a running point total
by each competitor's nationality to tell which nation was leading.

I kind of like the idea and think it might work real well for the series such
as the Little Formula Racing Series and the IndyCar Internet Challenge, etc.
I think it will prove the Americans are the best Sim Drivers.  (I'm just
saying this to get everyone angry so they will want to prove me wrong).  It
seems that most of the series I've seen a nice cross-section of different
nationalities to make this feasible.

So what does everyone think?  Good Idea or Bad?

Hello,
I think it's a good idea to have the country competition as well,
adds some more interest in any points race. I'm participating in the F1
World internet championship (F1wic) run by Frank Merlier, and he is keeping
track of each country's points for every race, it's shown as part of the
results after each event. By the way Canada is leading at the moment, funny
how simulation portrays real life eh? :-)
