Try opening something in Notepad, that'll show people the difference :-)

Thx for the tip btw, works great on this PC with an R8500 card, however
on my shop PC with a rather ancient Ati Rage128 card the desktop icons
now has a black line around them and in some progs I have a slight
blurriness (?), I'll play with the settings some more on Monday and try
some different drivers, looked fine on my backup computer at the shop as
well, with and even older Matrox card

Oh yeah, and the web interface doesn't work in Opera.....damn Microsoft
:-)

On a sad note,
Enabling cleartype seem to drop my N2003 framerate by about 20 - so i had to
turn it off again :-(

Shouldn't have any effect (2D and 3D are seperate things). I don't notice a
difference anyway.

Well, there was a recent reissue of Doom 1/2/3 and Spear of Destiny
that apparently contain win-32 executables (?).  I haven't tried them,
but I figured I'd ask.

Weird...

Someone asked me to add a network printer to their 98 install a couple of

Doom95.exe. It loads as a config window where you can select Doom, Doom 2,
Plutonia, TNT (Whatever those last 2 are, I don't have a clue).

Then you would really think the real thing sucks :)

I do this (I suspect many do), but I think Papy should have done something
other than leaving the bare steering shaft staring out at you...

Just seeing the dash would have been sufficient at this point.

Sometime around 94' MS came out with Doom/WinGee.  WinGee is the precursor
to DirectX.
