AH, but does he own it? I'll bet an SCGT CD that he dosn't and wrote it as
a "work for hire" for MGM. If this is the case he can't give you any sort of
permission. Just as someone who works for Microsoft can't give you
permission to post Windows source code even though he wrote it.
You'll have to get that from the actual OWNER, not that author.
That would be whatever Turner Entertainment Company has morphed into since
the Time-Warner merger.
That's the same problem with the posts I've seen here about asking
Frankenheimer to release Grand Prix on DVD. He can't. It isn't his. You have
to ask Ted Turner to release it, and my guess is he's to busy trying to
color inside the lines to care.
