logitech wingman problem

Does it have a settings for seperate axis on the pedals?

The answer to this one is probably dead simple but...
I bought a wingman formula gp wheel today to try in GPL. Brought it home, set it up as per instructions (I guess) and went to Monza to test. First shot the Lesmos the car wouldn't stop. Well, it finally did when it hit the fence, but that's not the preferred method, is it?  No brakes when my foot is on the throttle. uh-oh! When calibrating in GPL with my advantage pedals (in generic) I would get an axis for the steering, an axis for the throttle and a third axis for the brake calibration. When calibrating the wingman in gpl I get an axis for the steering and only one other axis for calibrting both throttle and brake. Don't seem right. Can't trail-brake. Where am I going wrong?

logitech wingman problem

Was about to walk you through the settings for the FF-models (which have
combined axis set as standard) when I realised yours is a standard gameport
one. So I downloaded the manual from the Logitech site and found there
doesn't seem to be an option to seperate gas and brake as there is with the
FF models. I.e. you were sold a dud.

So, IMO, you're left with two options:

1) take it back and exchange for a model that has a seperate axis option.

2) re-wire the unit.

BTW: I would recommend taking your foot off the accellerator at some point
when braking for the Lesmo's, otherwise you're going to get outbraked a lot.

well if its like my formula force there is a setting under specail options (or something like that) for report combined pedals. this is checked by default. Uncheck it and you should be all set.

first do the basics..make sure your wheel is the way you want it in the
windows control panel.  Also make sure it is using the #1 slot for
controllers.  (if you have more than one controller hooked up...disable them
for now)
In the game there are two methods available to sample the
joystick..DirectX and the Papyrus optimized driver.  Make sure your using
the DirectX input.  There is a checkbox in the options screens
good luck

I got the same problem. I got the old Logitech Wingman formula force and if I don't report the pedals I get no respons from GPL. It sucks to not be able to brake and gas at the same time.
