SCGT: Chaparral, Lola cars?

by Greg Dun » Fri, 08 Jun 2001 13:56:40

Having just installed Sports Car: GT and looking forward to exploring
all the different and interesting cars that are available, I started
searching for some "vintage" rides.  I was delighted to see that some
hard-working folks have applied themselves to several of my fave 60s
cars:  the Ferrari 330P4, Cobra Daytona, Ford GT40, etc.

I nearly wet myself when I found the GPLEA site's SCGT section with
Chaparral 2F, Lola T70, and GT40 Mk II cars.  But -- the download link
seems to be broken.  After some confusion, I Emailed the GPLEA
webmaster, but haven't heard back yet.  Anyone know of a hidden archive
for these jewels?  I want them, I want them. :-)

while the GPLEA cars are nice, they are no match for the other cars out

i would reccomend Sean Staffords GT40's if you like them, much better
looking that the GPLEA ones.

My biggest problem with the GPLEA Chapparal, was first it was very
difficult to download...took me a month of random tries to finally get
it...and 2nd...the vehicle just  had NOOOOOO Grip.  After driving other user
made cars like the Oreca Reynard or BMW LMP cars, the Chappies were like GPL
x 6.

Yup, I plan to edit them anyway... but I want the "skin" at least.
Luckily someone took pity on me and arranged for me to get copies of
these files.  I'll wait till the GPLEA FTP site is back up to scour for
the remaining ones!

You can give this site a try.  Lots of links but don't know how many work.
