Guillrmot Ferrari Sterring wheel and WinME softwear promblems

I have just brought a Guillemot Ferrari none FF steering wheel and I
cant get it set up correctly under WinME using the USB option, when I
plug the wheel in it shows up under the game controllers as a RL
Compact using a POV hat and 12 buttons, I tried adding it in as a
Guillemot Sterring wheel as listed under the joystick options but it
makes my computer act funny with a sluggish mouse and the RL Compact
controller doesnt let me remove it. So im stuffed for using the
options of assigning keys to the buttons and also changing the wheel
and gas/brake sensitivitys as you only get the window for that when
the wheel is listed as a Guillemot wheel in the joystick options.

I tried the same wheel on a Win98 system and it worked fine, came up
as Guillemot wheel and I was able to use the proper controler
interface that is suppose to be with the wheel. Anyone know of any
fixes for it to work right in WinME.

Also I can find no details on the box or the PDF docs of switching the
wheel over to seprate axis as at the moment its stuck in combined mode
all the time.

Did you go to the thrustmaster site and download the ME drivers?  I have
a FF wheel and it won't work under ME without those drivers.

Works perectly well for me under ME without any TM drivers.  I just use the
ones from the original CD.

Hmmm, I couldn't get the axes to work correctly until I installed the
drivers located here http://us.thrustmaster.com/support/byprod.php3 and I
also kept having problems with game recognizing that the wheel was
connected.  The drivers solved all of those problems.

Hotdog, the drivers for the Modena 360 Pro non-FF wheel are here at
http://us.thrustmaster.com/support/byprod.php3.  I'm not sure which non-
FF Ferrari wheel you have, but the Modena is the most recent.

I certainly had to download drivers from the TM site for the Modena - which
is also non FF.

Then the TM software (Thrustmapper) controls the combined/separate axis
options.
