Poor frame rate in CPR on the Zone

by Stuart J. Boyl » Sat, 06 Dec 1997 04:00:00

My framerate is really bad on the Zone. I am frequently getting what I would
guess to be about 5 frames per second. This occurs most frequently on the
road courses such as Australia and Toronto, ovals seem quite a bit better.
At 5fps it is totally undriveable. When talking to the others who raced
afterwards, they did not have nearly the problems with frame rate. I have a
pretty powerful system with a P233MMX, 64mb SDRAM, VooDoo Rush video card,
and 56K modem. My modem is connecting at 50kbs. I disabled hardware
acceleration because of the bad flicker you get on the VooDoo Rush cards and
I am running IE4.0. Any suggestions?

Get rid of the rush. Though I think I heard something about updated
drivers for that flickering problem. Good luck.
