SCGT - Advanced Options and 1.2 Update together?

Hi,

Can you use these two terrific updates at the same time, or must one decide
whether they want better physics and gameplay versus better sound and driver
names?

Marc.

When I installed the sound update, I lost the physics...and could not get
them back without a re-installation and then a re-application of the
Advanced Features patch.

What patches are you referring to, and where can you get them?

Thanks

There are 2 - a physics update (which you should install first), and a sound
update. The physics update is from ISI, and the sound update is from the host
of the GT1 site. Here's the site:

I heartily recommend both of these!

Does the 1.2 update give me what I need?  There are 4 updates available, are the
demo updates compatible with the retail?

Thanks

But if you do it in the order you suggested, the physics updates will be
overwritten by the sound update's vehicle.mas file.  This file does not have
the physics updates.  As far as I can tell from scanning the original, the
sound update (gtupd12.zip) and the physics update (advopt.zip), the sound
update has the same physics as the original.  "advopt" modifies roll center,
grip, removes side skirts from whatever the current vehicle.mas file is.  So I
would think that one should first do the sound update (if you want it), then
patch with the "physics" update.

Don't think so.  Get the sound 1.2 update, patch, then patch with the physics
update.  Add the Mclaren and Mustangs to your "patch" folder if you want them.
Do the physics update after them so they too are patched.

Anyone know if all versions need to be the same for all to join an
online race? ie is SCGT already a write off as a competition platform?
