For the record, I am very pleased with my provider except for the security
aspect, which requires me to run a personal firewall (they claim they can't
stop it without stopping me from online ***). A small price to pay for
good connections nearly everywhere. Of course connections to backwater parts
of the internet are questionable and stuff hosted on crappy
servers/connections is just as slow on cable as it is on dial-up, but on the
whole, without even mentioning the major advantage of it being a flat fee
service (1 monthly payment for unlimited onlinetime <g>), it's absolute the
dog's private parts.
I may be on RAS to stay, not a lot of whining going on and they finally told
me what *plonk* means!! ;-)
