SP3: Can't Create Zipe File :((

by Chris Help » Thu, 02 Dec 1999 04:00:00

Hi,

Every time I run Scgtsp30.exe, I get the message "Couldn't find attached
archive data" and a 2.7k incomplete zip file. I've tried both unarchiving to
a subdirectory and to the same directory - no change.

Any suggestions, or does anyone know where I can download the full 125MB zip
file instead of messing around with 45 smaller files? I have a cable modem,
so download size is not a problem.

Thanks,
Sky

Check your file extentions. I had a problem with this. For example
Sctssp.c00.c00.  When you save the file it adds the extra extension.  You
have to edit the file name and you should be ok

That isnt the problem. I downloaded with FileHound, and the filenames are
correct - no double extensions.

Incidenatly, I notice you posted this reply as a new threas. I havent been
able to see my own posts to ras in Ootlook Express, so I'm wondering if you
had any trouble posting a reply in the same thread?

My guess is that you downloaded the 45 files with netscape.

Well, Don't.

I did that, and netscape somehow ***s up the files (I'm not the only
one who has tried this BTW!)

Use Internet Explorer to download the files, that should solve the
problem.

I have never experienced this behavior before?!

Good Luck
