I get a fatal exception error and blue screen of death when trying to race..
P-II 333mhz laptop, Win98. :-(

Any ideas?

Upgrade to an OS. ;-)
But really, no app can be held responsible for BSOD's.
Most probably the graphics driver, or else sound.

My understanding is, Netkar will only work with DirectX 9. Also, I never
could get it to run with my old Voodoo card (nothing but invalid page
faults). Runs great on the new box, though. The beta of Nurburgring is a
hoot in it. Hopefully they'll get the graphics done for that track.
