Problems with GP3 Season 2000

by Andrew Dawe » Mon, 10 Sep 2001 18:59:10

Hey All

I've just bought GP3 Season 2000, uninstalled GP3 and started playing
the new game. Problem is that for some reason it keeps freezing on me in the
menu screen after the videos, ie. the screen with the rotating team logo. I
have a Saitek X-36 and Thrustmaster Modena Pro, both USB, a P111-800, 256MB
RAM, Voodoo3 and Sounblaster Live running Win98SE. I can't figure this
out...the only way to fix it is to uninstall and reinstall which is becoming
unfun very quickly....any ideas!?

Cheers,

isn't the season 2000 an addon to GP3, meaning you don't uninstall GP3?
it's probably another .exe and some other files, but still needs to use the
files from the original game.
Just a shot in the dark mind you.....

No,you can install the add on as a second version of gp3, gp3 2000 only asks for the presence of the
original game cdr.......it's a whole different game itself

No idea other than go the reinstall. Can't be a 3d problem, so drivers
are not an issue.

I've got an Athlon 1ghz running with a V3, 256mb RAM and SBlive on win
98SE, no problems at all here.
